~ Heartstrings' HAIR FLARE!

Yep it's official!! Saturday July 11th from 11:00 - 4:00 we're hosting a party to play music and CUT OUR HAIR as donations to Locks of Love! Jeff & Annie Conneau have graciously donated their space at 16 East Carmel Valley Rd. Suite B, in the heart of the Village (next to the Carmel Valley Business Service & down from the Running Iron). Jody Sherman of Devannie's Hair is bringing her mirror & barber chair and will be doing FREE haircuts all day (10" long min.), so lets pass the word and get more "cuttees". Heartstrings will be welcoming special musical guests throughout the afternoon.

This event will also support, and include people involved in two great happenings here in the Village: The Carmel Valley Historical Society's fundraising for construction of the new History Center, particularly their tile program; and the upcoming Jamesburg Players Reunion, scheduled for Nov. 14 at Hidden Valley. Members will be present to exhibit materials (lots of history here!) and talk to the community about their great plans! Saturday, March 15th 2008 ~ Event Update

~ The Irish Evening at Hidden Valley

Please join us at this Saturday, March 15th as we celebrate the many wonderful customs and great art and music of Ireland. "The Irish Evening at Hidden Valley" has become a wonderful tradition for celebrating St. Patrick's Day in style.

Heartstrings will open the evening at 6:30!

Also featured are the splendid talents of singer John Michael and pianist Tom Lawson. The evening is capped by the Irish step dancers who have been the highlight of several past Irish Evenings at Hidden Valley. They are truly amazing.

The regular pub snacks and no host wine bar will be included.

~ Noon - Dusk - “FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN”
2nd Annual Heartstrings & Hay Boys Music Benefit

Enjoy music all day long at the Trail & Saddle Club on East Garzas Road in Carmel Valley with music from Homefire, Heartstrings, Diane Donnely & the Yes M'aams, The Hay Boys and Ol' Buds!

Suggested donations are $10. You can purchase tickets in advance at the following local businesses: Do Re Mi Music Store - Carmel, The Running Iron – Carmel Valley, UPS Store – Carmel Mid Valley. There will be a bouncy house for the kids (donated by Bill Sullivan) plus BBQ and refreshments available all day long. In addition, young musicians from Seaside High and All Saint's School will perform during the breaks between the scheduled bands.

~ Friends of Hidden Valley presents "An Evening in Ireland." 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 12 at Hidden Valley Seminars, Ford and Carmel Valley roads, Carmel Valley. Irish food, entertainment by Heartstrings (Note: we'll be playing from 6:30 to 7:30, so get there early!!), The Allison Barnes Academy of Irish Dance, Irish singers, pipers and performers Shannon Miller, John Michael and harpist Amy Krupski. After dinner, dance to the music of the Tom Lawson Trio in a tribute to Van Morrison. $35. Benefit for the programs at Hidden Valley Seminars. Be sure to wear green! For tickets, call 659-3115.

February 12, 2005 ~ Event Update

~ Heartstrings Monterey will be appearing as their alter ego, Las Cuerdas del Corazon, with the Alta California Dancers on Saturday, February 12th, from 1 to 4 pm at the Cooper Store in Monterey as part of A Day of Romance in Old Monterey. Tour times for the adobes are 10 am to 1 pm. Each tour takes approximately 2 hours, leaving from the Cooper-Molera Adobe Complex and concluding at the Cooper Barn for period music by Heartstrings Monterey. Tea and refreshments will be served. Docents will lead guests to four historic adobes where actors will present four romance plays. Tours depart every half hour (with the exception of 12:30) beginning at 10 am. Thursday, December 9, 2004 ~ Upcoming Event!

~ Heartstrings will be appearing as their alter-ego, Las Cuerdas del Corazon at Christmas in the Adobes 5 - 9 p.m. Thursday, December 9th and Saturday, December 11th. The group will accompany the Alta California Dance Troupe at a Fandango (an early California celebration) at the Customs House Adobe in Monterey. Tickets for the tour, which includes this and other historic Adobes, are $15 adults and $2 for ages 6-17. For information call 647-6226 or 649-7118. See the Event Calendar for further details.

~ There will also be a free performance on Monday, December 13th from 5:30 - 8 pm at Do Re Mi Music in Carmel. We will be featuring Special Guest, Heartstrings alumni Margie Dally on cello. ~  Sunday, November 7th at 3 pm, Heartstrings Monterey will be appearing at the Unitarian Church on Aguajito as part of the Lovejoy Concert Series. Food will be served at the complementary reception which will take place immediately following the performance.
